Our security guards are regularly tested and trained both in the performance of the security service and in compliance with quality and safety standards. They are equipped with all the necessary equipment to carry out their duties in the best possible conditions (distinctive and protective equipment, a jacket, pepper spray, a service telephone, a walkie-talkie, a flashlight). They have regular training books, updated with information on occupational health and emergency situations.
The aim of the security guards and the integrated security system is to suppress events caused by fraudulent entry, theft or even terrorist attack.
Knowing the target in detail and determining every move of the security guards will result in a unified action to catch and immobilise the criminals.
In addition, in the event of any change in the target or the guarding device that could influence the actions of the agents, the concept of operational actions will have to be modified.
We will determine the risk level of the objective taking into account the factors influencing it:
- the increase in human traffic in or around the objective
- the execution of works in the target involving external personnel
- the execution of special transports
- the emergence of conflict situations
- interruptions in the electricity supply system
- occurrence of natural disasters, fraudulent entry or terrorist attack
Depending on the periods of time when the risk of crimes may increase (intense activity at the site around the holidays, construction activities at the site, etc.), countermeasures will be taken by having the mobile intervention team in the site. The preventive nature of the security guards’ action shall be taken into account when determining the options for action.
We will install a video system to ensure entry into the objective and transmission of images online in real time to the NEW AKORD SECURITY dispatcher, or, if there is already a video surveillance system in the objective, we can monitor it 24/24 at no additional cost.
Verification is done by the following methods:
- The security agents will be provided with a list drawn up in advance by the beneficiary’s representatives of their suppliers and employees.
- Verification of the identity documents of the persons, i.e. identity card (ID), which, if the specific situation in the target requires it, will be carried out strictly within the coverage area of the video system.
- Verification of official documents bearing a photograph, such as service badge, access badge, etc.
- Establishing the person’s identity data (name, surname, residence, place of work).
- Maintaining permanent contact by technical means – walkie-talkie or telephone – with the Beneficiary’s representative regarding access of suppliers to the site.
- Entering data in a special access control register.
- In exceptional cases and depending on requests, body and clothing checks will be carried out.
ATTENTION – if there is no special room for this purpose, the legislation does not allow this kind of control.
The methods used – and which we consider optimal for the risk level of the target – are:
- Detection of weapons and metal, respectively, using portable devices. Only persons who raise suspicion by their behaviour, language or clothing should be checked in this way.
- Inspection – by analysis of vehicles using optical instruments. Thorough inspection of the vehicle’s passenger compartment, engine and materials being transported, including the mandatory accompanying bill of lading where applicable, to be carried out strictly within the area covered by the video system.
In special situations, such as attempted break-ins, armed attack, vandalism, or fire, explosion, flood or other calamities, security guards act according to the instructions set out in the Security Plan for the site. The alarm signal in the event of an event that endangers the security of the site shall be given by the head of the guard shift who is on duty at the time, using the procedure laid down in the particular post instructions.
In special situations, such as attempted forced entry, vandalism or armed attack, security guards shall do so:
- ensure the integrity of employees and products by avoiding contact with the assailants and attempt to remove or restrain them
- when the event occurs, the security guard will immediately notify the shift manager and the dispatcher, who in turn will immediately notify NEW AKORD SECURITY Dispatch to alert the intervention team
- if necessary, will notify the Police Station, the Ambulance Service or the Fire Brigade, and on their arrival will assist in restoring order and legality or, if necessary, in helping the persons affected by the event.
In this situation the objective manager or the head of the guard shift acts as follows:
- notify the intervention team and the NEW AKORD SECURITY dispatcher
- quickly assess the situation, taking into account the possibility of a diversion to mislead as to the real location to be hit
- immediately contacts the target’s security manager and the Director of Security, to whom they briefly present their preliminary assessment of the situation (location of the attack, manpower and technical equipment of the attacks)
- contact promptly: the police station in the area of the target; the central police dispatch; the rescue services, if there are injured persons or the fire brigade, if there is a fire
- effectively uses specific combat techniques to counter the terrorist attack
- participates in the operational action of the rapid intervention team and other forces intervening in support of the target
- at the time of the intervention team’s action, is obliged to strictly separate the group of perpetrators from persons not involved in the incident
- signal the end of the alarm according to the alarm codes
- draws up the Event Report and records the action taken in the Event Log, specifying the time, place, number of attacks, mode of action and measures taken by the security staff.
